PERSONAL ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD APP
CWHT sponsors unlimited access to a personal electronic health record app for each worker screened. Provided by Cushla Health Systems, the app allows workers to receive a digital record of their screening – a copy of their booking form and the lifestyle and test results data captured by their nurse during their screening.
Every Friday CWHT publishes a health information article to the app. Articles focus on health issues arising from our health screenings and are contextualised within the realities of the construction sector. They aim to provide easily understood health information from a trustworthy source.
The app allows workers to log any medication they are taking, log any subsequent appointments with any clinical practitioner and the results of same. The app can automate a request for your records to your GP/ any previous medical clinic. You should receive these in pdf format to your email address. You can also choose to share the health information on your app with your GP/clinic.
Wearables can be integrated into the app allowing workers to build a more holistic overview of their health.

DATA PROTECTION
In this health screening process, the worker is the data subject, CWHT is the data controller and Cushla, as the digital health screening management system provider, is the data processor. As controller, CWHT (nurse) is entering data onto the small leaflet which is given to the worker and therefore not retained (no data storage).
CWHT (nurse) is also entering the lifestyle details and screening test results into the digital health screening portal which is shared with the worker to their PEHR. Both the health details and the worker PEHR are secured in the Cushla application. This is a secure cloud-based platform with appropriate security controls to mitigate data loss.
All health screening reports are anonymised. Only where the worker has consented to being contacted by CWHT will contact be made. At all times, the worker has the ability to remove consent to share their data within the CWHT/Cushla PHER app.
